In Loving memory of Michel E. Samedi

Michel E Samedi passed away on May 22, 2024 after a six-year battle with Alzheimer's. Michel was a loving husband, father, and good Christian. Surrounded by his wife of nearly 51 years and close family and friends, he died peacefully at Stamford Hospital at 1:00 am. He was a wonderful man with a great sense humor and full of wisdom. There are no words to express how much he will be missed because he was such a people person, very caring and gentle. He was predeceased by his parents, Nerva and Antoinise (Pierre) Samedi, his oldest daughter Ernsta Samedi, and his older sister Ghyslaine Lamarre.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea (Exantus) Samedi, his daughter Gerthy (Kip) Davis, his son Andre-Michel Samedi, his 5 granddaughters Kerwina Lindsay Alexandre Samedi, Andrea Doris and Jasmine Nicole Samedi, Lauren Delourdes and Eleri Michelle Davis, and his great granddaughter Amour Bella Samedi. He is survived as well by his younger sister Viola Samedi (Jean-Claude) Ozulma, his nieces and nephews: Evans and Marjorie Lamarre, Fiola (Evins) Alexis, Claudelle Ozulma and Kessie Ozulma, and many great nieces and nephews, and relatives from the Pierre, Sanon, Lamarre and René family,

With the death of Michel E Samedi, the world has lost a great man, a great tailor, and a great friend. In our human wisdom Heaven has gained a great saint. Michel stayed on course and has won his crown. He is now in God’s care and may he rest in peace.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 8th from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, followed by a Christian funeral service at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist, 29 Grove Street, Stamford, CT 06901.

Parking will be on both sides of the church.

Interment will immediately follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 41 Hecker Avenue, Darien, CT 06820.
